my car needs your help!

So apparently, my GTI needs new tire rods. I was wondering if I should just get some from the junkyard, cheap, but with the risk of them being just as shitty as the ones that I have already. OR order them from somewhere, new, but probably expensive. Does anyone know of a cheap and effective way I can fix my ride????? Pleez help me and my car!
